In a meeting with Laos'' energy and mines minister on Monday, Diên said Việt Nam is looking to import 60-100 million tonnes of coal per year during 2025-2030, with a large portion of it coming from Laos.
Viet Nam imported about 23 million tonnes of coal between the beginning of the year and July 15 worth US$2.17 billion, according to the General Department of Customs.
